John Deuel, the Rev. Bill Cruse, and the Rev. Dr. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones

John Deuel, a spiritual director and technology professional, is a member of Trinity Church Wall Street.  He participates in a variety of online activities with the Trinity community, including Education for Ministry, the weekly Meditation and Group Spiritual Direction with Poetry program, retreats, and worship services.  John uses he/him pronouns, identifies as gay, and is married to the Rev. Bill Cruse, a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark.

Bill Cruse, a ministry animator, is Priest-in-Charge at St. John’s Memorial Episcopal Church Ramsey NJ and Sr. Associate with The Kaleidoscope Institute (KI). In addition to online and onsite worship, and workshop facilitation for missional ministry, diversity and inclusion with KI and Bexley Seabury Seminary Foundation, he is a Mentor and Trainer with Education for Ministry, and co-convener of the Anti-Racism Commission (DioNewark). Bill uses he/him pronouns, is gay and is married to John Deuel with whom he shares 4 different wedding anniversaries spanning more than 30 years.

The Rev. Dr. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones is an Episcopal Jamaican priest at Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City.   He is the Priest and Director of Spiritual Formation of Trinity’s Retreat Center in West Cornwall. A former Jesuit priest, Mark has missionary experience in Belize, Brazil, and Guyana.  He believes that prayer, silence, and rest deepen our connection to God and allow us to name the pain, face the realities of our time, and claim the Way of Love. At the Retreat Center, he has focused our efforts on prayer, meditation, and rest. He has a passion for the cultures in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Fr. Mark’s intellectual interests include the impact of social issues on faith and spirituality, racism, and the plight of the poor. He is working on a book of poetry. He loves flowers, Brazilian and Reggae music. He believes in the inculturation of religion. He is an award-winning author, whose recent books include God Created, Jesus the Word, The Gospel of Barack Hussein Obama According to Mark. and The Rastafari Book of Common Prayer. He is an avid reader and speaker, and has taught at elementary and university levels.

He is married to the Rev. Dr. Kathy Bozzuti-Jones – Mark Anthony is their son, the Negus.
