Mary Davenport

 

Mary Davenport, a programming assistant at Trinity Retreat Center, holds a BA in Religious Studies from the College of William and Mary (2007), an MTS in Biblical Studies from the University of Notre Dame (2010), and an MDiv from Yale Divinity School (2021). She has also studied at Hebrew University and in the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Her academic specialties cover the literary landscape of the Hebrew Bible and biblical translation from the Septuagint to the present, while her work in the church has focused on church communications and youth ministry. Originally hailing from the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, Mary has a deep love for the woods and waters of Appalachia. She lives in Torrington, Connecticut with two colorpoint shorthair cats, Mycroft and Mordechai.
